Painting Challenge and other Updates.

This week I was in the studio to catch-up on painting as well as photography, framing and other art business so the blogs should be back on a regular schedule.

Currently I am participating in the Double Line Painters of the Blue Ridge 150 Paintings in 150 Days Challenge.  The challenge began on May 10 at our art event at Blue Ridge Vineyard.  It will end on October 3 at our show at Ikenberry Orchard.

Here are three of my favorite mixed media plein air works arranged in a collage to show some May results for the challenge.

In addition, I was painting in the studio:

Mountaintop Farm
by Judith F Lochbrunner
mixed media/acrylic
16 x 20 inches

One more Bloom to Come
by Judith F Lochbrunner
acrylic
14 x 18 inches

And in between, I was spending time in the gardens.   Here is one of my favorite plants, Butterfly Weed, which attracts the Monarch Butterfly.  And it is not a "weed" but a plant the self-seeds nicely between other perennials adding great color and life to the garden.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS:  if you want to see all the paintings for the challenge go to
