Day 24 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days More or Less

Today is the twenty-fourth day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

End of Season
by Judith F Lochbrunner
mixed media on painted paper
6 x 6 inches

The last week of the challenge is going abstract.   This painting is composed of layers of acrylic, watercolor and acrylic gouache with a few pencil lines as well.    The result is a painting surface filled with interesting colors and shapes.  The difficulty is trying to decide what to keep and what to cover up.  After some experimenting the neutral "sky" was painted in to help guide the viewer through the painting as well as provide a place for the eye to rest.

Thanks so much for staying with my blog.  I appreciate your support and comments.

    1. Art should enrich the viewers life. Creating sad or depressing art is not for me. Thanks
