Still More Art Deliveries

I have looked at the empty easel in the studio all week long as I have been varnishing, framing, adding backing and wire, labeling, packing, preparing inventories, and finally loading boxes and bins into the back of my car.

It is all good.  The reward of all this work is to have my paintings displayed in more beautiful spaces in time for holiday decorating and shopping.

("Roadside Attraction" from last week's blog on display at Goose Creek Studio.)

Tuesday Mary Anne and I hung new work from all the Double Line Painters of the Blue Ridge at
Goose Creek Studio in time for Second Fridays in downtown Bedford.    This evening opening of the art galleries and artisan trail sites is always a fun activity and a perfect start to the holiday season.

(Second Helpings is a favorite shop for "finds" and local art, of course)

Wednesday it was time to refresh my selection of paintings at 2nd Helpings Gallery.  This shop has a unique selection of local art, second-hand furniture, thrift store finds and a cafe.  Proceeds from the shop benefit the Rescue Mission in Roanoke.

And while the easel may have be empty, the work table has some reference photos and initial drawing finished for a dog painting which will be a Christmas present. The frame has already been picked up and it will be delivered locally a few days before the holiday.  All that is needed is some painting time in the studio.  Next week.......for sure.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

PS:  Please stop by to say hello if you are in the Roanoke area next week.
